Donor Outreach Team Representative
Do Good Lab’s Donor Outreach Team is looking for representatives who are passionate about developing and sustaining relationships with potential, past and current donors to maximize their engagement with Do Good Lab.
The ideal representative will have:
- Integrity
- Ability to create and foster relationships based on competency and trust (people skills!)
- Creativity
- The ability to effectively articulate the Do Good Lab’s mission to prospective donors (communication and presentation skills)
As a Donor Outreach Team Representative, you will be encouraged to:
- Attend Do Good Lab’s monthly meetings
- Attend Do Good Lab Donor Outreach Team meetings
- Represent Do Good Lab in a professional manner
- Keep up to date with all Do Good Lab projects and be able to articulate why someone should help
Do Good Lab is organizing a big gala in fall 2012 to raise money for our projects partners. We are looking for people who can support the event and help us with PR. The PR and Outreach Volunteer as well as the Event Volunteer would work cooperatively with the Event Director to make our event a huge success! These responsibilities do involve a time commitment and you will need to sign on through the event at the end of November. Passion and patience are two of the most important quailities required for these positions.
PR and Outreach Volunteer
The appropriate candidate must have:
- A passion for our mission
- Experience creating and implementing PR strategies for nonprofits
- Experience developing successful messaging for fundraising events
- Delegation and training skills
- Media Connections
- Amazing writing skills and an effective communication style
- The ability to step up or step back when it is appropriate. Cooperation will be key in this position.
The PR and Outreach Leader will be expected to:
- Participate in monthly leadership meetings
- Organize and run Gala Committee meetings with the Event Director
- Plan and implement a PR campaign for the Gala, working cooperatively with the Communications Team
- Delegate, assign, and hold volunteers accountable for their tasks.
- Listen to your team.
Event Director
The appropriate candidate must have:
- A passion for our mission
- Experience organizing and running successful fundraising galas/events
- Experience managing a large number of volunteers on the day of an event
- Incredible organizational and logistical skills
- Knowledge of local caterers and event spaces
- Delegation Skills
- The ability to step up or step back when it is appropriate. Cooperation will be key in this position.
- The ability to keep cool under pressure
The Event Director will be expected to:
- Participate in monthly leadership meetings.
- Organize and run Gala Committee meetings with the PR and Outreach Coordinator.
- Organize all of the logistical aspects of the gala.
- Run the event from start to finish.
- Divide tasks and oversee volunteers helping the day of the event.
- Take care of the “details”.
- Delegate, assign, and hold volunteers accountable for their tasks.
- Listen to your team.
